Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using the Right Hand platform. By accessing or using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this platform.

1. About Right Hand

Right Hand (Pty) Ltd ("Right Hand", "we", "us", or "our") is a private company registered in South Africa and based in Cape Town. We operate the website at righthand.org.za (the "Platform"), which provides consumer rights education and information to South African consumers.

2. Nature of the service

Right Hand is an educational platform. All content published on this Platform is intended for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing on this Platform constitutes legal advice, and nothing creates an attorney-client relationship between Right Hand and any user.

For advice specific to your individual circumstances, you should consult a qualified South African attorney.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or subscribe to a paid plan. By using this Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

4. Free and paid content

Certain modules are available free of charge without registration. Access to all remaining modules requires an active paid subscription at the then-current subscription fee (currently R99 per month).

Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; no partial-month refunds are issued unless required by applicable law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reproduce, republish, or redistribute any content from the Platform without our prior written consent
  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any South African law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or its underlying systems
  • Share your account credentials with any third party
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or extract content from the Platform

6. Intellectual property

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, and module material, is owned by or licensed to Right Hand (Pty) Ltd and is protected by South African copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without our express written permission.

7. Third-party contributors

Some modules include content contributed by third-party specialists. Contributor content is provided for educational purposes only. Right Hand does not endorse and is not responsible for any services offered by contributors outside of this Platform.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Right Hand (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, any content on this Platform.

The Platform is provided "as is" without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Consumer rights law is subject to change; always verify current legislation before acting.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
